कतमास्तथागतस्य चतस्रः प्रतिसंविदः ?

Translation

What are the four analytical insights (pratisaṃvit) of a Tathāgata?

यदुत अर्थप्रतिसंवित् धर्मप्रतिसंवित् निरुक्तिप्रतिसंवित् प्रतिभानप्रतिसंवित्।

Translation

Namely:

---

1. **अर्थप्रतिसंवित्** — Insight into **Meaning**.

2. **धर्मप्रतिसंवित्** — Insight into **Phenomena** (or the Law).

3. **निरुक्तिप्रतिसंवित्** — Insight into **Language** (etymology/expression).

4. **प्रतिभानप्रतिसंवित्** — Insight into **Eloquence** (inspiration/ready wit).

इमा भिक्षवश्चतस्रः प्रतिसंविदः॥

Translation

These, O monks, are the four analytical insights.
