Aparokshanubhuti Verse 44

Sanskrit

रज्ज्वज्ञानात्क्षणेनैव यद्वद्रज्जुर्हि सर्पिणी। भाति तद्वच्चितिः साक्षाद्विश्वाकारेण केवला।।

Transliteration

Rajjvajñānātkṣaṇenaiva yadvadrajjurhi sarpiṇī. Bhāti tadvaccitiḥ sākṣādviśvākāreṇa kevalā

Swami Vimuktananda's Translation

As through the ignorance of the real nature of the rope the very rope appears in an instant as a snake, so also does pure Consciousness appear in the form of the phenomenal universe without undergoing any change.
