Tattvabodha - Verse 1.4

Sanskrit

मुमुक्षुत्वं किम् ? मोक्षो मे भूयाद् इति इच्छा । एतत् साधनचतुष्टयम् । ततस्तत्त्वविवेकस्याधिकारिणो भवन्ति ।

Transliteration

mumukṣutvaṃ kim ? mokṣo me bhūyād iti icchā .etat sādhanacatuṣṭayam . tatastattvavivekasyādhikāriṇo bhavanti .

Translation

What is the longing for liberation? It is the desire, “May liberation be mine.” This is the fourfold qualification. Thereafter, (the seekers) become qualified for the inquiry into the Truth.
