Tattvabodha - Verse 5.3

Sanskrit

मनोमयः कोशः कः ? मनश्च ज्ञानेन्द्रियपञ्चकं मिलित्वा यो भवति स मनोमयः कोशः ।

Translation

What is the mental sheath? The mind and the five organs of perception, joining together, form the mental sheath.

manomayaḥ kośaḥ kaḥ? (what is the mental sheath?); manaḥ-ca (the mind and) jñānendriya-pañcakaṃ (the five sense organs of knowledge) militvā (joining), yaḥ bhavati (that which becomes) saḥ manomayaḥ kośaḥ (is the mental sheath).
