Tattvabodha - Verse 5.4

Sanskrit

विज्ञानमयः कः ? बुद्धिज्ञानेन्द्रियपञ्चकं मिलित्वा यो भवति स विज्ञानमयः कोशः ।

Translation

What is the intellectual sheath? The intellect and the five organs of perception, joining together, form the intellectual sheath.

vijñānamayaḥ kaḥ? (what is the intellectual sheath?); buddhi (the intellect) [and] jñānendriya-pañcakaṃ (the five sense organs of knowledge) militvā (joining), yaḥ bhavati (that which becomes) saḥ vijñānamayaḥ kośaḥ (is the intellectual sheath).
