Tattvabodha - Verse 7

Sanskrit

अथ चतुर्विंशतितत्त्वोत्पत्तिप्रकारं वक्ष्यामः । ब्रह्माश्रया सत्त्वरजस्तमोगुणात्मिका माया अस्ति ।

Translation

Now we shall explain the mode of evolution of the twenty-four Tattvas (principles). Rooted in Brahman is Maya, which is of the nature of the three Gunas—Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas.
