एतत्समष्ट्युपहितं चैतन्यं वैश्वानरो विराडित्युच्यते सर्वनराभिमानित्वाद्विविधं राजमानत्वाच्च

Consciousness associated with this aggregate of gross bodies is called Vaisvanara and Virat on account of its identification with all bodies, and from its manifestation in diverse ways respectively.
