Vedantasara - Verse 141

Sanskrit

एतानि सत्त्वादिगुणसहितान्यपञ्चीकृतान्युत्पत्ति- व्युत्क्रमेणैतत्कारणभूताज्ञानोपहितचैतन्यमात्रं भवति

Swami Nikhilananda's Translation

The five uncompounded elements, together with the tendencies of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, in the reverse order to that of creation, are reduced to their cause, namely Consciousness associated with ignorance.
