Vedantasara - Verse 88

Sanskrit

इदं प्राणादिपञ्चकं कर्मेन्द्रियैः सहितं सत्प्राणमयकोशो भवति । अस्य क्रियात्मकत्वेन रजोंशकार्यत्वम्

Swami Nikhilananda's Translation

These five vital forces such as Prana etc., together with the organs of action, constitute the vital sheath (Pranamayakosa). Its active nature shows that it is the product of the particles of Rajas.
