Verse 4.3

तेजोजलान्नसारैस्त्रयोऽणवो मूलहृदयमस्तेषु ।
पाकात्ते निष्पन्नास्त्रैलोक्यव्यापिकेऽंब देहवताम् ॥ ४.३॥

तेजः-जल-अन्न-सारैः (by essences of light, water, and food) त्रयः-अणवः (three atoms/particles) मूल-हृदय-मस्तेषु (in the root, heart, and head) पाकात् (by maturation/transformation) ते (they) निष्पन्नाः (are produced) त्रैलोक्य-व्यापिके (O Pervader of the three worlds) अम्ब (O Mother) देहवताम् (in embodied beings).
Translation
O Mother, You who pervade the three worlds! Through the transformation of the essences of light, water, and food, three subtle “atoms” are produced within the root, the heart, and the head of all embodied beings.
Verse 4.4

पूर्णे शरीरशिल्पे द्वारेण ब्रह्मरन्ध्रसंज्ञेन ।
नाडीपथेन गत्वा तैजसमणुमाविशस्यमेयबले ॥ ४.४॥

Translation
O Mother of immeasurable power! Once the divine craft of the physical body is complete, You enter through the gateway known as the Brahmarandhra, descend via the network of Nadis, and take up residence within the luminous atom.
Verse 4.6

यातायातविहारे मातस्तस्मिन् भवत्युपाधिस्ते ।
आरभ्य मस्तकस्थलमामूलाधारमस्थिपञ्जरिका ॥ ४.६॥

यातायात-विहारे (in the play of coming and going/upward and downward movement) मातः (O Mother) तस्मिन् (in that) भवति (is/becomes) उपाधिः (the limiting adjunct/physical vehicle) ते (Your) आरभ्य (starting from) मस्तक-स्थलम् (the region of the head) आ-मूलाधारम् (down to the Muladhara) अस्थि-पञ्जरिका (the skeletal cage/frame of bones).
Translation
O Mother, in Your play of moving up and down (as energy), Your physical vehicle is the skeletal frame that extends from the crown of the head down to the Muladhara (the root).
Verse 4.7

नृतनुषु विहरन्तीं त्वाम् उपाधिवीणाकृतेर्जगन्मातः ।
सादृश्यात् कुण्डलिनीं परोक्षवादप्रियाः प्रभाषन्ते ॥ ४.७॥

नृ-तनुषु (in human bodies) विहरन्तीम् (sporting/moving) त्वाम् (You) उपाधि-वीणा-आकृतेः (because the physical vehicle has the shape of a Veena) जगन्-मातः (O Mother of the world) सादृश्यात् (due to the resemblance) कुण्डलिनीम् (as Kundalini) परोक्ष-वाद-प्रियाः (those fond of esoteric/indirect speech) प्रभाषन्ते (declare/call).
Translation
O Mother of the universe, because the physical frame in which You sport resembles the shape of a Veena (lute), those who delight in esoteric language call You “Kundalini” due to this profound resemblance.
Verse 4.10

अवतरणं ध्यातं चेद् आरोहणमद्भुतं भवेच्छक्तेः ।
यस्मिन्निदं शरीरं भवति महद्वैद्युताग्नियन्त्रमिव ॥ ४.१०॥

Translation
If the descent of the Divine Power is meditated upon, then Her ascent becomes wondrous; in that state, this body becomes like a great powerhouse of electrical fire.
Verse 4.17

तदनाहतस्य विलसद् दक्षिणतो दहरनामकगुहायाम् ।
चित्तं कुलकुण्डात्ते काऽप्यनुगृह्णाति देवि रश्मिकला ॥ ४.१७॥

O Goddess, to the right of the shining Anahata center, within the secret cave known as Dahara, an indescribable ray of Your light—originating from the primordial source—showering grace upon the mind.
Verse 4.19

अन्तरमावर्ताभं प्रतिबिम्बमकायमेतदीशस्य ।
अंगुष्ठाभं प्राहुर्मानेनोपाधिचैत्तभासस्ते ॥ ४.१९॥

अन्तरम् (Within) आवर्त-आभम् (shining like a whirlpool/vortex) प्रतिबिम्बम् (reflection) अकायम् (bodiless/formless) एतत् (this) ईशस्य (of the Lord); अंगुष्ठ-आभम् (resembling a thumb/thumb-sized) प्राहुः (they say) मानेन (by measure) उपाधि-चैत्त-भासः (the light reflected in the mental adjunct) ते (Your/of You).
Translation
Sages describe this bodiless reflection of the Lord within as shining like a luminous vortex and being the size of a thumb; in reality, O Mother, it is Your own light appearing in that specific proportion as it reflects through the limited medium of the mind.
Verse 4.21

चित्तमणीयो वित्तं य इदं मूल्ये प्रपञ्चतोऽप्यधिकम् ।
हृदयगुहायां निहितं जानीते स विजहाति बहिराशाः ॥ ४.२१॥

चित्त-मणी-यः (the jewel of consciousness which) वित्तम् (is the treasure) यः (who) इदम् (this) मूल्ये (in value) प्रपञ्चतः (than the entire manifest universe) अपि (even) अधिकम् (greater) हृदय-गुहायाम् (in the cave of the heart) निहितम् (hidden/deposited) जानीते (knows/realizes) सः (he) विजहाति (gives up/abandons) बहिः-आशाः (external desires/hopes).
Translation
He who realizes that the “jewel of consciousness” hidden within the heart-cave is a treasure far greater in value than the entire manifest universe, spontaneously abandons all cravings for the external world.
Verse 4.23

अन्नमयाणुं प्राप्तं धीज्योतिश्चन्द्रमार्कमिव तेजः ।
परिभाष्यते महेश्वरि मन इति सङ्कल्पसम्भवस्थानम् ॥ ४.२३॥

अन्नमय-अणुम् (the physical/food-made atom) प्राप्तम् (having reached) धी-ज्योतिः (the light of intellect/wisdom) चन्द्र-अर्क-इव (like the moon and sun) तेजः (brilliance) परिभाष्यते (is defined/called) महेश्वरि (O Great Goddess) मनः (Mind) इति (thus) सङ्कल्प-सम्भव-स्थानम् (the place where intentions/thoughts are born).
Translation
O Maheshvari, when the brilliance of the intellect’s light—radiant like the sun and moon—reaches the physical atom of the body, it is defined as the “Mind,” the birth-place of all intentions.
Verse 4.24

सङ्कल्पे सङ्कल्पे चिच्छक्तिं मनसि विस्फुरन्तीं त्वाम् ।
य उपास्ते स जनस्ते गृह्णाति महेशवल्लभे चरणम् ॥ ४.२४॥

Translation
O Beloved of Shiva, that person who worships You as the Power of Consciousness vibrating within every single thought that arises in the mind, truly takes hold of Your divine feet.
