Verse 6.5
Sanskrit
खं क्रीडाभवनं ते कः कार्यालय एषः ।
पृथ्वीयं बहुलान्ना मातर्भोजनशाला ॥ ६.५॥

Translation
O Mother, Space is Your playground, the Air is Your workplace of action, and this Earth, overflowing with sustenance, is Your vast dining hall.
Verse 6.9

देवी व्यापकतेजः शक्तिस्तत्त्वविचारे ।
अत्यन्तं सुकुमारी नारी मूर्तिविचारे ॥ ६.९॥

देवी (The Goddess) व्यापक-तेजः (all-pervading light/brilliance) शक्तिः (Power) तत्त्व-विचारे (in the inquiry of reality/essence); अत्यन्तम् (exceedingly) सुकुमारी (delicate/youthful) नारी (woman) मूर्ति-विचारे (in the inquiry of form/manifestation).
Translation
In the inquiry of absolute reality, the Goddess is the all-pervading Power of Light; yet, in the inquiry of Her form, She is an exceedingly delicate and graceful woman.
Verse 6.11

देवेन्द्राय विभुत्वं सूर्यायोस्रसहस्रम् ।
ऊष्माणं दहनाय ज्योत्स्नामोषधिराजे ॥ ६.११॥

देवेन्द्राय (to Indra/King of Gods) विभुत्वम् (sovereignty/majesty) सूर्याय (to the Sun) उस्र-सहस्रम् (a thousand rays) ऊष्माणम् (heat) दहनाय (to the fire) ज्योत्स्नाम् (moonlight) ओषधि-राजे (to the King of herbs/the Moon).
Translation
(O Mother!) You gave sovereignty to Indra, a thousand rays of light to the Sun, heat to the Fire, and cool moonlight to the Moon (the King of herbs).
Verse 6.12

वातायामितवीर्यं विस्तारं गगनाय ।
सान्द्रत्वं वसुधायै तोयाय द्रवभावम् ॥ ६.१२॥

वाताय (to the Wind) अमित-वीर्यम् (immeasurable strength) विस्तारम् (expanse/vastness) गगनाय (to the Sky) सान्द्रत्वम् (density/solidity) वसुधायै (to the Earth) तोयाय (to the Water) द्रव-भावम् (liquidity/fluidity).
Translation
You bestowed immeasurable power to the Wind, infinite expanse to the Sky, solid density to the Earth, and the quality of fluidity to the Water.
Verse 6.21

द्रष्टुं विश्वमपारं भारस्ते दयितस्य ।
कर्त्तुं कार्यमशेषं श्रीमातस्तव भारः ॥ ६.२१॥

द्रष्टुम् (To witness/see) विश्वम् (universe) अपारम् (boundless) भारः (responsibility/burden) ते (of your) दयितस्य (of the beloved [Shiva]); कर्तुम् (to do/act) कार्यम् (work) अशेषम् (entirety) श्री-मातः (O Divine Mother) तव (your) भारः (responsibility/burden).
Translation
To witness this boundless universe is the responsibility of Your Beloved (Shiva); but to actually perform every single cosmic task is Your responsibility, O Divine Mother.
Verse 6.22

साक्षी केवलमीशः कर्तुं भर्तुमुताहो ।
हर्तुं वाऽखिलमम्ब त्वं साक्षाद्धृतदीक्षा ॥ ६.२२॥

साक्षी (Witness) केवलम् (only/alone) ईशः (the Lord) कर्तुम् (to create) भर्तुम् (to sustain) उत-अहो (or indeed) हर्तुम् (to dissolve) वा (or) अखिलम् (everything) अम्ब (O Mother) त्वम् (You) साक्षात् (directly/personally) धृत-दीक्षा (have taken the vow/initiation).
Translation
The Lord is merely the witness; but You, O Mother, have personally taken the sacred vow to create, sustain, and eventually dissolve this entire universe.
