Word-by-Word

अथ (Now) | यदिदम् (that which is) | अस्मिन् (in this) | ब्रह्मपुरे (city of Brahman/body) | दहरं (small) | पुण्डरीकं (lotus) | वेश्म (dwelling/house) | दहरः (small) | अस्मिन् (in this) | अन्तराकाशः (inner space) | तस्मिन् (in that) | यद् (what) | अन्तः (inside) | तद् (that) | अन्वेष्टव्यं (should be searched) | तद् वाव (that indeed) | विजिज्ञासितव्यम् (should be desired to be known).

In this city of Brahman (the body), there is a small lotus-like dwelling, and within that is a small internal space; what dwells within that must be sought after and realized.

Verse 8.1.3.1

Word-by-Word

यावान् (As much as) | वै (indeed) | अयम् (this) | आकाशः (external space) | तावान् (so much) | एषः (this) | अन्तर्हृदय (inside the heart) | आकाशः (space) | उभे (both) | अस्मिन् (in this) | द्यावापृथिवी (heaven and earth) | अन्तः (inside) | एव (certainly) | समाहिते (are contained/established).

Translation

As vast as this external space is, so vast is the space within the heart; within it are contained both heaven and earth, fire and air, sun and moon, lightning and stars—all that belongs to him here and all that does not belong to him—everything is contained within it.
