Katha Upanishad Verse 2.2.4
Yama poses a rhetorical question about what remains when the eternal Atman (the “dweller in the body”) finally departs and is released from the physical frame. The implication is that without the Atman, the body is nothing more than inert matter. This realization confirms that the true identity lies with the indestructible Self, which survives the dissolution of the body.
