Prashna Upanishad Verse 1.14

Sanskrit

अन्नं वै प्रजापतिस्ततो ह वै तद्रेतस्तस्मादिमाः प्रजाः प्रजायन्त इति ॥ १४ ॥

Transliteration

annaṃ vai prajāpatistato ha vai tadretastasmādimāḥ prajāḥ prajāyanta iti || 14 ||

S. Sitarama Sastri's Translation

Food indeed, is the lord of creation; from that, indeed is the semen virile; from that are all these creatures produced.
