Shvetashvatara Upanishad Verse 6

Sanskrit

सर्वाजीवे सर्वसंस्थे बृहन्ते
अस्मिन् हंसो भ्राम्यते ब्रह्मचक्रे ।
पृथगात्मानं प्रेरितारं च मत्वा
जुष्टस्ततस्तेनामृतत्वमेति ॥ ६॥

Transliteration

sarvājīve sarvasaṃsthe bṛhante asmin haṃso bhrāmyate brahmacakre | pṛthagātmānaṃ preritāraṃ ca matvā juṣṭastatastenāmṛtatvameti || 6 ||

Translation

In this great Brahma-chakra (Wheel of Brahman), which gives life to all and is the resting place of all, the Hamsa (the individual soul) wanders about. As long as it thinks that the Self is different from the Mover (God), it wanders; but when favored by Him, it attains immortality.
