Vakyapadiya Verse 1.118

Sanskrit

शब्देष्वेवाश्रिता शक्तिर्विश्वस्यास्य निबन्धनी । यन्नेत्रः प्रतिभात्मायं भेदरूपः प्रतीयते ॥ ११८ ॥

Transliteration

śabdeṣvevāśritā śaktirviśvasyāsya nibandhanī | yannetraḥ pratibhātmāyaṃ bhedarūpaḥ pratīyate || 118 ||

Translation

118. The power which creates and regulates this universe rests on words, It is through that eye that all this diversity of understanding (bhedarūpaḥ pratibhātmā) is perceived.
