कल्पस्वविक्रमगृहप्रतिभाक्षतानि चित्तोत्थरन्ध्रगुरुमानभवव्ययानि । लग्नाच्चतुर्थ निधने चतुरस्र संज्ञे द्यूनं च सप्तम गृहं दशमऋक्षम् आज्ञा ॥ १६॥
Transliteration
kalpasvavikramagṛhapratibhākṣatāni cittottharandhragurumānabhavavyayāni | lagnāccaturtha nidhane caturasra saṃjñe dyūnaṃ ca saptama gṛhaṃ daśamaṛkṣam ājñā || 16||

kalpasvavikramagṛhapratibhākṣatāni—ability (1st house), innate (2nd house), valor (3rd house), seizing (4th house), intelligence (5th house), destruction (6th house); cittottharandhragurumānabhavavyayāni—the wife (7th house), a cavity (8th house), preceptor (9th house), pride (10th house), prosperity (11th house), and loss (12th house); lagnāt—from the lagna; caturthanidhane—the fourth and eighth; caturasrasaṃjñe—are reckoned as the square signs; dyūnam—Dyuna (playing, sporting, and loss); ca—and; saptamagṛham—the seventh house; daśamaṛkṣam—the tenth zodiac sign; ājñā—Ajna (power)
Translation
The houses signify: 1. Ability/Body, 2. Wealth/Innate, 3. Valor, 4. Comforts/Home, 5. Intellect/Offspring, 6. Hardships/Enemies, 7. Marriage/Partner, 8. Vulnerability/Longevity, 9. Virtue/Wisdom, 10. Status/Deeds, 11. Prosperity/Gains, 12. Expenditure/Loss. The 4th and 8th are termed ‘Caturasra’ (square). The 7th is ‘Dyuna’ and the 10th is ‘Ajna’.
