Inayat Khan’s Ten Sufi Thoughts
The Ten Sufi Thoughts are the core principles of Universal Sufism, as formulated by Hazrat Inayat Khan. They provide a universal framework for spiritual realization and human brotherhood.
The Ten Principles
- One God: There is One God, the Eternal, the Only Being; none exists save God.
- One Master: There is One Master, the Guiding Spirit of all Souls.
- One Holy Book: There is One Holy Book, the sacred manuscript of nature.
- One Religion: There is One Religion, the unswerving progress towards the ideal.
- One Law: There is One Law, the law of reciprocity.
- One Brotherhood and Sisterhood: The human brotherhood and sisterhood which unites all.
- One Moral: The love which springs forth from self-denial.
- One Object of Praise: The beauty which uplifts the heart of its worshippers.
- One Truth: The true knowledge of our being.
- One Path: The annihilation of the false ego in the real.
